Time-of-use arbitrage calculator

On a time-of-use plan you pay more for electricity at peak hours. A battery lets you charge cheap and discharge expensive. This estimates the yearly saving.

Simplified estimate. Ignores battery degradation and demand charges, and assumes one cycle per day.

How this works

Each cycle you avoid buying your usable capacity at the peak rate, and instead pay the off-peak rate for slightly more energy to cover round-trip losses. The difference, times the days you cycle, is your yearly arbitrage saving. This is information, not financial advice. Confirm with your utility rate plan.
